Alex joined KSNT and Kansas First News in August of 2006 as a news photographer/editor while attending the University of Kansas. He is now the sports director. A native of Allen, Texas, Alex became a Dallas sports fan instantly.
Alex graduated from the William Allen White School of Journalism in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism: News and Information degree. While at KU he worked for the student television station, KUJH-TV News, as a director, reporter and anchor. Alex also spent time working for Rock Chalk Video in the KU Athletic Department for two years. His greatest moments at Kansas First News were attending the 2008 Orange Bowl and covering President George W. Bush’s visit to Topeka in 2006.
When not at work, Alex enjoys staying active playing adult softball, since his aspirations of being a professional athlete fell through. You can catch Alex on the anchor desk throughout the week. He married his wife, Ann, in July 2011.
