The Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas St. Wildcats each have a first round bye heading into the Big 12 Tournaments. KU is the no. 1 seed, while K-State earned the no. 2 seed. Video Video

Ashley Sweat remained among the conference elite as she made the All-Big 12 first team for the second straight year. KU's Danielle McCray who played in only seven Big 12 games before an injury was an All-Big 12 second team selection. Video Video
Lady Blues, Lady Hornets receive NCAA bids
Washburn who clinched the MIAA regular season and tournament championships were guaranteed a spot in the NCAA Division two tourney. The Emporia St. Lady Hornets earned an at-large berth into the South Central Region. Each team will play on Friday in Canyon, Texas.
Ichabods drop MIAA championship 69-67 vs Neb-Omaha
Two upset victories landed the Washburn Ichabods into the MIAA tournament championship. However, a third upset was not in store as Washburn lost 69-67 to Nebraska-Omaha. The Ichabods finish the season at 16-14. Video Video
WU women earn MIAA tournament championship
MIAA tournament MVP Hope Gregory led the Lady Blues with 14 points as Washburn won its sixth conference tourney in the last eight years. WU defeated three-seeded Central Missouri 68-56 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City. Video Video
Aldrich, Collins and KSU's Pullen headline All-Big 12
For the second straight year, KU's Cole Aldrich and Sherron Collins are selected to the All-Big 12 first team. Jacob Pullen of Kansas St. joins them on the first squad, while Denis Clemente made the second team. Frank Martin is named the Big 12 Coach of the Year. Video Video
KSU's Martin inks five-year extension
Frank Martin said he feels comfortable in Manhattan. Now the Kansas St. coach won't be leaving the Little Apple anytime soon. Martin signed a five-year extension worth $7.75 million with his base salary plus retention bonuses. Video Video

Washburn marches to MIAA championship
The clock hasn't struck midnight, as of yet. Washburn knocked off Missouri Western 56-43 and moved to the MIAA tournament championship game against Nebraska-Omaha. The Lady Blues are championship bound as well. They will meet with Central Missouri at Municipal Auditorium. Video Video
