Ryan Seidel from Washburn Rural helped lead the Midwest Bruins to a tournament championship in Salina this weekend.

However, the big news was that he tossed a perfect game in the process on Sunday at the Grand Slam Wood Bat Tournament.

Seidel struck out 7 batters en route to a victory over Air Academy (CO).

The Midwest Bruins went on to defeat Olathe East 12-4 in the championship game.

At Lake Shawnee in the Great Plains Shootout, Cherry Creek (CO) beat the Oklahoma Outlaws 7-6 to claim the title.

Cherry Creek let a 4-1 lead slip away in the 6th inning when the Outlaws scored 5 runs, but rallied in the 7th for the victory.
