Spend an evening with Friends of Sunset Zoo during their second annual Wine in the Wild wine tasting event at Sunset Zoological Park, Saturday, May 10. Sample unique wines and gourmet appetizers from around the world as while you mingle with the Zoo's animal collection featuring the "Jazzy Cheetah Cats."

This evening of elegance will also feature the KSU Swing Machine and MHS Blue Notes as they serenade Wine in the Wild guests throughout the wine tour. The evening will conclude with a chance to take home your own "jazzy jewel."

Enjoy Wine in the Wild (http://www.ci.manhattan.ks.us/index.asp?NID=983) at Manhattan's Sunset Zoo, 2333 Oak Street, Saturday, May 10, at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine. Proceeds from Wine in the Wild will support the construction of a new Education building at Sunset Zoo.

Tickets are now on sale. Sponsor tickets, $100 per person, include early admission, select wine and appetizer samplings, and an exclusive performance by Dr. Wayne Goins and the KSU Jazz Combo. General Admission tickets are $40 per person ($50 at the gate) and allow guests to enter the event at 7:00 pm. Both ticket levels include a commemorative wine glass and appetizer plate. A designated driver ticket can also be purchased at both the sponsor level ($80) and the general admission level ($30 in advance/$40 at the gate) and allow ticket holders to support the cause and their friends. All attendees must be over 21 and present legal identification. The chance to win a jewel may be purchased for an additional $30 at the event.
