Sex Offender SignsHUDSON, Kan. (AP) - A south-central Kansas man must display signs that identify him as a sex offender as part of his court sentence. Seventy-two-year-old Leroy Schad, of Hudson, was convicted of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child for incidents in 2005 that involved two children. Judge Ron Svaty ordered the posting of the signs on Schad's house and car while he serves his five years' probation. The sign on the house reads "A Sex Offender Lives Here" and the one on the car reads "Sex Offender in This Car." Kansas Supreme Court spokesman Ron Keefover says he can't recall any other cases where a sex offender on probation was made to display such signs. |
