Reward For Vandalism
Law enforcement is offering a reward for information on vandals that have struck in the southwest Shawnee county area.
The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with U-S-D 437 to identify those responsible for spray painting road signs, roads, markers and private property with the numberals "09". The vandalism has been occurring for the last few weeks. The vandals are believed to be students at Washburn Rural High School. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 368-2212. A $5,000 dollar reward is being offered for information that leads to the conviction of the subjects responsible. Washburn Rural High School is seeking groups of students and teachers to volunteer to help clean up the graffiti. Volunteers will meet at the school May 24th and 31st. Residents are encouraged to contact the school at 339-4100 with information on areas where clean-up is needed. |
