The Kansas Highway patrol says a 21-year old woman died following a head-on crash Friday morning in Osage County.
The crash happened just after 7am on U.S. Highway 56 about a mile and a half east of Highway 75. The report indicates Amy Elizabeth Stadler was eastbound on the highway when she went left of center for an unknown reason and struck another car headed west on U.S. 56. Stadler died as a result of the accident.
The driver of the westbound car, 54-year old Patricia A. Cooper of Carbondale, was injured and taken to a Topeka hospital. Both drivers were wearing safety restraints.
