On February 7th at 10:46 p.m., police responded to a report of an attempted rape in the 200 block of Redbud Circle.
Upon arrival, the victim and multiple witnesses were interviewed. Raymond Joseph James Gager Jr., 56, of Hagerstown, MD. was arrested and booked into jail on charges of attempted rape, aggravated battery, criminal restraint, and criminal threat.
The investigation revealed that Gager is a fugitive from justice and has warrants for his arrest out of Maryland. Gager is also listed as a sexually violent offender.
