Safety Net Clinic Help
At a news conference Tuesday morning members of The Kansas Association For The Medically Underserved talked about the role of safety net clinics in Health Reform.
Safety net clinics provide primary medical care for people who don't have insurance. The Association is proposing two strategies for expanding the safety net clinics. These include increasing state funding to provide services for 10-20% more low-income uninsured people, and enrolling more individuals who are already eligible for Medicaid and Health Wave. |
