Topeka middle school teacher, high school volley ball coach resigns

KSNT News - TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – A Topeka middle school teacher and head volleyball coach has resigned less than one month into the school year.

A spokesperson with Topeka Public Schools tells KSNT News that Paul Deveaux, a 7th Grade Language Arts Teacher at Jardine Middle School and Head Volleyball Coach for Topeka High School, voluntarily resigned both his teaching and coaching position with the district. USD 501 says his resignation was accepted by the Board of Education on September 1, 2016.

According to his Linkedin page, Deveaux is also a maintenance officer with the Kansas Air National Guard.

The district tells KSNT News his resignation is a personal matter and would not discuss further details. .
