Four Arrested After Break-In
Jefferson County Sheriff's officers arrested four Topekans after they were alerted to a break-in at a business in Meriden.
Jefferson County Undersheriff Jeff Herrig told 27 News deputies got a call about a break-in at K-4 Mini Storage just before 4 o’clock Wednesday morning. When they arrived, four suspects got in a vehicle and drove away from the scene. With the help of a Jefferson County canine officer, the Topeka Police Department helicopter and Shawnee County Sheriff’s deputies, officers caught three of the four after a chase south of Meriden on Butler Road. After daybreak, the Kansas Highway Patrol helicopter and KHP troopers helped search for the fourth suspect. He was taken into custody later in the day. |
