The First Lady made a stop in the Sunflower State today.

Laura Bush, with the help of Senator Pat Roberts presented eight students with the "President's Volunteer Service Award" at a school in Olathe.

Before that she and Roberts visited some students at an elementary school during a vocabulary lesson.

While there she encouraged students to read as much as they watch TV.

After the school visits the First Lady attended a private fundraiser for Senator Roberts who is up for re-election in the senate this fall.
