A University of Kansas professor, political blogger and author is scheduled to sit down with Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show" to discuss his latest book.

Journalism professor David Perlmutter is booked to be a guest Thursday night on Stewarts popular Comedy Central show. They'll
discuss political blogging and Perlmutter's new book "Blogwars:The New Political Battleground." The book is an examination of the history of blogs and their effect on politics.

Perlmutter writes his own blog at policybyblog.squarespace.com. He's also associate dean for graduate studies and research at Kansas.
