Manhunt Ends With Person In Custody
The man who was the subject of a manhunt in Pottawatomie County has been captured.
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office says the man was taken into custody around 7:45am this morning north of Belvue. According to the sheriff's office, St. Marys police stopped a person on a suspected stolen vehicle report. The subject was placed into a police car in handcuffs. Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat said the person somehow managed to free his hands enough to take the police car early this morning. It was found abandoned a couple of miles west of St. Marys. Several law enforcement agencies, including the Kansas Highway Patrol aircraft, helped search for the suspect. We'll have more on this story Thursday night on 27 News at 5 & 6. |
