Robert Mackey has been appointed by the board as the Executive Director for Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc. (HCCI).

“I am very glad to announce that Bob will take this leadership role for HCCI effective June 2, 2008” said Rick Fleming, President of the HCCI Board of Directors. “The Board unanimously agreed that Bob is the very best person to take HCCI to a new plateau”.

HCCI served more than 10,000 people in 2007 through its offices in Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan and Emporia. HCCI is best known for its accredited consumer credit counseling services, its tenant and landlord counseling and education programs and its first-time homebuyer education programs.

Bob Mackey has been a resident of Topeka since 1975. Mr. Mackey worked for Federal Home Loan Bank from 1980 to 2000 and for Capital City Bank from 2000 to 2005. He is also active in the non-profit community. He has served on many boards and was the United Way Campaign Chairman in 1998.

Bob is a graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in marketing and management. He and his wife, Jane, have a son, Jeff.



Mackey succeeds Karen Hiller who recently retired as HCCI’s Executive Director.



“We had a large pool of excellent candidates”, Fleming said, “and the Board is very pleased to have Bob moving us forward”.
