You've heard of VIP’s, but it was all about the VID’s at Timberline Steakhouse Thursday afternoon.
The "Very Important Cuck" sponsors of this year's Great Topeka Duck race were honored at a luncheon Thursday. 27 News KSNT is one of the proud sponsors and we received a plaque for being one of the platinum" sponsors of the event. The race is set for Saturday afternoon at Lake Shawnee and benefits Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Topeka. Julie Hejtmanek, one of the original organizers of the event for 13 years, said “We decided we wanted to do an event that would make a big impact....and they really jumped on board and got involved.” 27 News KSNT Meteorologist Tom Hagen will emcee the event Saturday afternoon. The ducks will be dropped into the water at 4:30pm at Lake Shawnee near the Tinman Circle area.
