Police Say Body Found In Basehor Was Florida Murder Suspect
Police in the Leavenworth County community of Basehor believe a man found dead Sunday afternoon was a suspect in a Florida murder case.
Police say the man committed suicide by hanging himself near a pond on private property. Chief Lloyd Martley said the man was identified as 50-year-old Ricardo Castro. Police began looking for him in mid-August after his girlfriend was murdered in Orange County, Florida. A vehicle registered to the dead woman was found abandoned in a field August 17th near Tonganoxie. A set of keys with an attached grocery store card found on the body helped police identify Castro. |
