Support is growing for the brief filed in the Snyder v. Phelps case.
48 states, plus the District of Columbia are now behind the family of a fallen Marine who is fighting the Westboro Baptist Church for picketing the funeral.
The case is now on to the Supreme Court. Kansas Attorney General Steve Six prepared the Amicus Brief. Six tells 27 News, it is rare for so many states to join together on a single issue. The family and the states want stronger funeral picketing laws. The Supreme Court will start to hear arguments in October.
