An accident early Monday afternoon sends a Silver Lake man to a Topeka hospital.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, 69-year old Joe A. Kmiec was driving west on highway 24 when his car drifted off the roadway to the north, struck a field drive and rolled several times. The report shows the accident occured just after 1pm about two miles east of Silver Lake. Kmiec was injured and was transported to Stormont-Vail hospital in Topeka.
