A bicycle belonging to a girl with special needs that was stolen last month has been returned.
Police tell 27 News that the bicycle was recovered in Topeka after a tip from a citizen.
8-year-old Daysi Lopez was born with cerebral palsy and despite several surgeries and lots of therapy she has trouble walking. To help strength her legs her family order the bicycle which is made specifically for her body's shape and needs.
Police say the bike was found with some damage. Sgt. Mackey with the Topeka Shawnee County Fraternal Order of Police says the FOP will pay for repairs to the bike.
