The 2012 Project Topeka Community Food Drive is currently underway throughout Topeka and Shawnee County. This year's collection goal is 192 tons of food. Organizers are collecting food at all Topeka and Shawnee County fire stations, schools, some businesses and places of worship. Donations must be non-perishable food items or checks made out to Project Topeka. 100 percent of all donations go directly back into Topeka and Shawnee County.
