53-year old Mary Datilo-Desch, formerly known as Mary Pelligreen, of Topeka, Kansas, has been sentenced to a year on federal probation for stealing mail while she worked for the U.S. Postal service.
Dattilo-Desch pleaded guilty to one count of theft by a postal employee. In her plea, she admitted that in 2007 she stole mail while she was working at the U.S. Postal Service’s processing and distribution facility in Topeka. Investigators attributed the theft of $1,308 in cash and 13 gift cards valued at $920 to Dattilo-Desch.
