Lawmakers consider hundreds of bills each session, but only a few actually become law.

One law taking being enacted tomorrow is the "Right Lane Law." Outside city limits, drivers can be stopped when excessively lingering in the left lane. For the first year, drivers will just get a warning, but after that, you could receive a $60 citation.

Another new law to be aware of is the "Move It Law." Drivers in non-injury accidents will need to get their cars out of the road. This law is intended to keep drivers and passengers out of the way of oncoming traffic.

Also effective tomorrow: Kansas will adopt its graduated drivers license program.

“We found out that most overwhelmingly, parents approve of it,” said Jim Hanni of AAA of Kansas. “Something like 96, 97 percent of parents approve of graduated licensing like what we've got here. And interestingly enough, 65 percent of their teens also approve of it.”

The graduated driver's license law is among 144 new laws going into effect July 1st.
