Rev. Manning heading back to Haiti

Reverend Manning the Director of Topeka based Global Missions, Inc. and the team will leave Tuesday morning for another trip to Haiti.

The team consists of Rev. Max Manning and 7others.  The Mission Objectives are to assess and aid the Haitian people,  to distribute two containers of food (rice, beans and oil), clothing, and medical equipment, supplies and medicines.  We will also be holding a three day meeting in the Central Plains to encourage the churches and pastors.  The two doctors of our team will be working closely with the field hospitals.  The group will return on the evening of February 17th.

We are continuing to gather supplies and materials until further notice at the Family of God Church,  1231 NW Eugene Street in Topeka, please call 785 220 1623 or 785 234 1111 for more information.  Pastor Rusty Mayfield stresses that along with much needed clothing, bedding and personal hygiene tems  that tents, tarps ground cloths and any camping equipment is desperately needed as the people are not allowed to sleep inside their homes.  It is a city displaced and everyone is homeless our immediate goal is to send 10,000 tents to Port au Prince.  We request that people look in their attics basements and garages for tents that are no longer used or needed and contribute them.  Also bedding and sleeping bags or any other items that are necessary for daily life.
