The star of several early 80's horror and science fiction films is in the Capital City this weekend.
Movie and television actress Adrienne Barbeau answered questions and signed autographs for fans at Friday’s ‘Slash and Bash Film Festival.'
She is the special guest at this years festival at the Holiday Inn Holidome, featuring three of her films.
One of those films, 1981's 'Escape from New York' was screened tonight.
Barbeau introduced the film and answered questions from fans.
The Slash and Bash Film Festival continues Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday's shows begin at 11 am.
Some of the films featured will be "Vertigo", "Swamp Thing", with another Q&A with Barbeau and "Army of Darkness"
On Sunday the event begins at noon with such films as "Godzilla, King of the Monsters", and "Creepshow"
The festival wraps up with "Feast of the Assumption: The Otero Family Murders" with filmmaker Marc Levitz and a question and answers session with survivor Charles Otero, whose family was murdered by Wichita's BTK serial killer.
Tickets are 10 dollars at the door.
