Police confirming 2 shooting victims at UCLA, campus-wide lockdown continues

LOS ANGELES (KRON) - The University of California at Los Angeles is on lockdown due to a possible shooter Wednesday morning, according to officials.

There are reports of a shooter at UCLA's Boelter Hall, part of the Samueli School of Engineering & Applied Science, according to a tweet sent out by school officials.

UCLA officials confirmed through police that two people have been shot. The condition of the victims are unknown at this time.

The shooter is still at large. Police have described him as a white male about 6 feet tall wearing a black jacket and black pants, according to the Daily Bruin.

UCPD Lt. Richard Davis said students told UCPD they heard a loud noise and gun shellings drop. Davis added he did not know when students first reported the incident.

UCLA released a Bruin Alert about 9:52 a.m. informing students to find a secure location and lock entry.

The entire campus is on lockdown and administrators are canceling classes in the next few hours.
