Drunk Driving Report

Study finds Kansas has high rate of drunk drivers.

WASHINGTON (AP) - A government report says Kansas has one of the
nation's highest drunk-driving rates.
A study found that 21 percent of Kansas drivers 18 and older
said they drove drunk in the previous year, the sixth-highest
percentage in the country. The national rate is 15 percent.
Missouri is also above the norm with 18 percent.
The upper Midwest has the nation's worst drunk driving rates,
with Wisconsin leading the way at more than 25 percent. Utah had
the lowest incidence of drunken driving at just under 10 percent.
The report on drunken driving relies on data obtained from the
National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
