Chief Clerk of House Honored
It wasn't all business in the Kansas house chambers this morning as members gathered to honor one of their own.
The House of Representatives passed resolution 60-30 honoring Chief Clerk Janet Jones. Jones is retiring later this year and this year's legislative session will be her last. She has been chief clerk since 1988 and has been working at the statehouse for more than 30 years. Members gave Jones a print of the capital circa the 1800’s as a retirement present. |
