Group Takes Flight For Day of Prayer
Today is the 57th National Day of Prayer and while some gathered at the statehouse this afternoon to celebrate, another group took their prayers to some new heights.
The breezy south winds didn't stop pilots Fred and Doris Hetrick from participating in prayer flight. Along with Pastor Bruce Eberline the Hetricks took off this morning to fly over the city of Topeka in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer. This is the first year where over fifty airplanes flew over every state capital city in the United States at noon to pray for our nation. Eberline says, “To know that other people are doing this today with us it's a neat prospective, of course we are going to be praying to God looking down over everything like he does. I just think it's really neat.” |
