Statehouse Renovation Project Continues
The State of Kansas’ 11 year renovation project at the statehouse is still going strong.
Temporary walls have gone up in the first floor rotunda to seal off most of the area to all but construction workers. Crews are currently working on the south wing. The walls still leave a path so that people walk among the east, north and west wings. And there are temporary windows looking on the workers. The state hopes to finish the project by late 2011. It’s expected to cost roughly $285 million to complete. |
