Emporia St. Edged at Home 19-18
ESU Running Back Seville Ko rushed for over 100 yards, but were held to only a field goal in the 2nd Half. Missouri Southern beat the Hornets 19-18 at Welch Stadium on Saturday.
"It's a tough loss, we had our opportunities to make plays in the 1st half and even the 2nd half," Emporia St. Head Coach, Garin Higgins, said. "We need to take advantage of our scoring opportunities in the red zone, but we have to learn from this, it's a part of the game. We gotta grow up." Emporia St. lost quarterback Andre Sloan El in the 3rd Quarter with a left ankle injury. ESU falls to (1-2) in the MIAA. They travel on the road for the next 3 weeks. Emporia St. plays at Central Missouri next Saturday at 1:30 P.M. |
