Washburn Survives a Thriller 21-17
Washburn held Missouri Western out of the endzone on the final play of the game to win 21-17.
Zach Watkins had 2 interceptions in the victory, including the game-winner at the end of regulation. "Oh man the last pick wasn't even me," Watkins, said. "I think Xavier knocked it away and I was at the right place at the right time." But that was a heck of a defensive stand by our guys, and we got the win." Washburn wins its 1st game in the MIAA. The Bods are at Missouri Southern next Saturday. |
