K-State Football Report

K-State suspended Senior Safety Gary Chandler after he was arrested early Sunday morning for driving under on a revoked license and obstructing the legal process.

The team said Chandler won't be involved in the program until his legal issues are resolved.

Also, Senior Defensive End Ian Campbell is named as a candidate for the Lowe's Senior Class Award. It's the inaugural year for the honor in football. Campbell is one of 3 Big 12 athletes nominated.

After Saturday's 45-37 win over Louisiana, the Wildcats begin the Big 12 conference schedule.

Kansas St. welcomes (7) Texas Tech to Manhattan, a team that the Cats haven't beat at home since 2000.

"It will do us a lot of good to come out and do real well," Head Coach Ron Prince, said. "Conference opener at home, we understand that and we understand the challenge that we'll have facing this team."

K-State and (7) Texas Tech face off on Saturday at 2:30 P.M. at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
