The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed defenseman Vladimir Mihalik and inked free agent defensemen Mathieu Roy and Mike Vernace to one-year, two-way contracts.

Mihalik appeared in four games for the Bolts last season without recording a point and has three assists in 15 career NHL contests. The 6-foot-7, 244-pound Slovak skated in 75 games with the AHL's Norfolk Admirals last season, recording two goals and 18 points to go with a plus-six rating.

Mihalik was a first-round draft pick (30th overall) of the Lightning in 2005.

Roy played in 31 games with the Blue Jackets in 2009-10 and recorded 10 assists with a minus-two rating. In 61 career NHL games, the 26-year-old has two goals and 11 assists for Columbus and Edmonton.

Vernace spent all of last season in the AHL, splitting time between Chicago and Hamilton while notching two goals and 13 points in 62 games. He has 12 games of NHL experience with Colorado in 2008-09.
