Dan Garrett grew up in Ferguson, Missouri. He majored in broadcast journalism at the University of Kansas. He previously worked as a reporter at 6 News in Lawrence. While at school, Dan worked as a reporter and web producer and received first place for best website by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters.
Dan’s passion is in human interest stories and about people making a difference in their community.
Dan loves camping and the outdoors. He received his Eagle Scout ranking in 2014 and continues his passions of hiking and fishing.
