
McKenzi is a Colorado native from Denver. McKenzi moved to Kansas to study at the University of Kansas. While at KU, she studied many different majors before finding a passion for journalism. While in school, she worked as a reporter and co-anchor for her school’s TV station.
McKenzi is a William Allen White School of Journalism graduate, with a minor in African and African American Studies.
McKenzi joined KSNT in July of 2018 as a Multi-Media Journalist. She has covered stories ranging from Trump visiting Topeka in 2018, to a tiger attacking a zookeeper at a local zoo. She is also in charge of the Someone You Should Know segment for KSNT that highlights people doing amazing things in Northeast Kansas.
In May of 2020, McKenzi moved to a new role as the FOX 43 News evening anchor and reporter. Then in October 2021, she moved to the anchor desk for the KSNT News evening shows.
McKenzi is an awarding winning journalist covering stories that brought to life the struggles veterans face after coming home from deployment, to uncovering a hidden history of a statewide tortilla brand that started in Topeka.
Outside of work, McKenzi is a homebody who enjoys listening to the Dateline podcast, cuddling with her dog, Vance, all while finding the best internet memes.
