Pete Francis is the Sports Director at KSNT and joined the station in July of 2018.
While at KSNT, Pete has won multiple awards from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters, including 1st Place for “Sportscast” and “Sports Feature.” During his time in Topeka, Pete’s work has appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter and been picked up by national outlets such as Yahoo Sports and Bleacher Report.
Pete is originally from Menasha, Wisconsin and was a weekend Sports Anchor in Reno, Nevada prior to joining KSNT. Before that, Pete spent nearly three years as Sports Director in Marquette, Michigan, where he won several Michigan Association of Broadcasters Awards, including “Best Sportscast” and “Best Feature/Use of Medium.”
Pete went to school at Northern Michigan University and majored in Electronic Journalism. During his time at Northern, Pete founded a television sports show which covered the university’s athletics teams. While Pete was a student at NMU he also interned with the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
In his free time, Pete enjoys watching sports (obviously), listening to music, playing guitar, and traveling.
