Sully Engels

Sully Engels joined KSNT in July of 2018 as sports reporter and anchor.

He graduated from Chico State in the spring of 2016. He was a journalism major and member of the baseball team. Sully was part of a West Region championship squad in 2014 and has fond memories of his team’s trip to the College World Series in Cary, NC. After his playing days, he worked in sports information as an assistant where he helped keep stats, work with media members, and put together season previews for each team. Go Cats.

Soon after graduation, Sully worked at KABC-TV in Los Angeles as a production assistant. As his roll grew, he was able to cover a variety of events in the community and lend a helping hand to the sports department when needed.

A native of Los Angeles, Kansas has been a beautiful change for him. He looks forward to exploring the state and entire region while learning about the people here and the cities they so proudly represent.

In his free time, Sully enjoys watching his favorite sports teams (Dodgers, Lakers, and Vikings) despite the fact that they constantly torment him. He loves trying new restaurants, nerding out on sports stats, making below average jokes, and attempting to stay in shape.

If you see him on the street, don’t be afraid to come up and say hello, talk a little sports, or just give him some advice on how to make the most out of the Sunflower State. His email is also always open for story ideas, feel free to drop him a note. Follow him on Twitter and Facebook – @SullyKSNT
