Adopt-A-Pet: Dec. 6, 2018

Timmy is a two-year-old domestic short hair mix. He loves to play with wand toys, but he loves people even more. When play time is over, Timmy is a big fan of cuddling and being held. He’s been at Helping Hands since the end of October, but Timmy has a lot of endearing qualities about him.

“He’s such a cool cat”, said Abby Allen, adoption counselor at Helping Hands Humane Society. “He’s lovable, playful, he gets along great with cats and dogs too. So he will fit in real nice to any family.”

Annona is a two-year-old pit bull mix. Annona is a long term resident that has been patiently waiting for a family since the end of August. She’s a sweet and gentle girl that loves the occasional squeaky toy. However, she would do best in a home without cats because the breeds she’s mixed with tend to like to chase small, fuzzy things.

Harley is a three-year-old catahoula mix. He’s not big on toys, but he does enjoy a nice leisurely stroll on a leash. Harley can be a little timid at first. Give him some time to adjust to new people and a new home, and he’ll make a great dog.

In honor of the holiday season, Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka does have a festive adoption special on the way. The “Yappy Howlidays” Adopt-A-Thon will run from December 14th through the 16th. During that time, all dogs will be half off, and cats will only cost twelve dollars to adopt.
