Ribsy is a two-year-old domestic shorthair mix. He’s an indoor cat that isn’t shy around people or other cats. Unfortunately, Ribsy is a long term resident of Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka. He was brought to the shelter at the end of September, and has been patiently waiting for a forever home since then. Luckily, Ribsy does has a sponsor buddy, so part of his adoption fee has already been covered.
Emerald is an enegetic four-year-old pointer and labrador mix. Just like Ribsy, Emerald has been calling Helping Hands Humane Society her temporary home since September. Emerald is very friendly, but she doesn’t always know her own strength. With that in mind, she would do best in a home with older children and one without cats.
Patrick is an one-year-old hound and german shepherd mix. He’s a sweet pup that loves both belly rubs and people. Patrick did come to the shelter with an injured leg that will need some ongoing care. If you’re interested in adopting him, the vet at Helping Hands Humane Society will be happy to talk to you about his leg.
After a successful Kansas City Chiefs themed adoption special last weekend, Helping Hands Humane Society will be putting on another one in honor of the Chiefs upcoming game against the New England Patriots.
Adoption prices during the “Kelce-ing Love and Finding (Ma)Homes” event will be centered around the numbers of both Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
“Kelce is number 87, so all of the dogs are going to be 87, and then all of our cats and kittens are going to be 15, and our senior dogs are going to be 15,” said Abby Allen, Adoption Counselor at Helping Hands Humane Society. “So come on out and see us.”
These adoption prices will not be applicable to high profile pets. The “Kelce-ing Love and Finding (Ma)Homes” adoption special will be going on this Saturday at Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka from 11:30 am until 6 pm, and then once again on Sunday, from 1 pm to 5 pm.
