Adopt-A-Pet: January 31

Helping Hands Humane Society has plenty of pets that are looking for a warm forever home after this latest blast of cold weather, including Jangle. Jangle is a two-year-old domestic short hair mix. Jangle is a super friendly cat that loves people and the camera. If you have other cats at home that are looking for a feline friend, Jangle may be the perfect fit for your family.

Ike is a rambunctious ten-month-old german shepherd and hound mix. Ike is just a sweet boy that is ready to be showered with love. He’s very energetic, so a patient family with plenty of toys to share would be a great match for him.

Teddy is a six-year-old presa mix. Teddy is very fitting of his name as he has such a gentle soul for a bigger dog. Not only that, but he’s a smart dog that knows a couple of tricks already, like “shake”. Unfortunately though, Teddy has been eagerly waiting for a family since last October.

Also back in October, the NFL was in full swing. Now with the Super Bowl right around the corner, Helping Hands Humane Society is getting in on the action and offering another adoption special to help pets, like Teddy, find a forever family.

“He has been here for awhile, so he deserves a good home,” said Abby Allen, Adoption Counselor at Helping Hands Humane Society. “He is going to be 53 dollars Saturday and Sunday because it’s our Super Bowl 53 special this weekend, so come see us.”

Except for high profile pets, all dogs will cost 53 dollars to adopt this Saturday and Sunday at Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka. All cats will only cost 15 dollars, in honor of the Kansas City Chiefs MVP Quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.
