Tiny is an one-year-old domestic medium hair mix. He does a great job of grooming to keep his fur soft, but he appreciates a good brushing from time to time. Tiny gets along well with other cats, but he really loves people. He’ll even come up to you in hopes that you’ll pick him up for a hug.
From a small cat to a big puppy, say hello to Myya. Myya is a nine-month-old Labrador mix. She’s one energetic pup who loves playing with toys of all shapes and sizes. Myya is very outgoing, but she can be easily startled at times, so make sure to bring in the whole family first to make sure it’s a good match.
Last, but certainly not least, is Jack. Jack is a rambunctious three-year-old German shepherd mix. He’s a young active guy that would need a family with a lot of energy to keep up with him. He would also do best in a home without any cats.
Jack’s been at the shelter since January, but this weekend may be the perfect time to adopt. KU and K-State may not be in the big dance anymore, but Helping Hands is continuing on with their March Match Madness adoption special.
“We are having a Sweet Sixteen adoption special, so all the cats are 16 dollars and the dogs are going to be 68,“ said Abby Allen, adoption counselor at Helping Hands Humane Society. “So come see us, we have a lot of good animals available for adoption.“
Only dogs 5 months and older will be subject to the discounted adoption price of 68 dollars. This adoption special does not include high profile pets. The Sweet Sixteen edition of the March Match Madness adoption special at Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka is going on through this Sunday, March 31.
