There hasn’t been much sun the last few days, so why not brighten up your life with a new pet?
Vrginia is a one-year-old labrador mix. She’s a super friendly girl that just adores people. She does well on a leash, but she could use some training to conquer some basic commands. However. Virginia would do best with an active family that doesn’t have any small dogs or children.
If you’re looking for a feline friend, here’s an older boy that may be the perfect match for you. Taz is a nine-year-old domestic short hair mix. He gets along with other cats, but he does crave attention for head scratches. Taz may be an older cat, but he still has plenty of love to give to a new family.
“He’s just such a sweet little guy,” said adoption counselor Abby Allen. “We have him down as no small children because he just doesn’t like to be picked up. But he loves to be petted and sit on your lap, so if you want an older cat, come see Taz.”
Alfalfa is a roommate of Taz’s that’s also been patiently waiting for a new home since March. Alfalfa is a seven-year-old domestic short hair mix. She’s just looking for a laid back companion to enjoy her golden years with. She can be a little picky on her cat friends though, but Alfalfa loves people.
Normally, senior cats, like Taz and Alfalfa, would only cost $25 dollars to adopt. But Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka still has their “Game of Homes” adoption special going on. For complete details on those reduced adoption prices, click here.
