KDHE expands testing, governor says

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Governor Kelly held her daily coronavirus update Tuesday afternoon.

As of Tuesday morning, the state is reporting 2,025 positive cases and 107 deaths in the state.

Gov. Kelly announced that the Kansas Department of Health and Environment has expanded who they will be testing. People only need to have two symptoms to be tested; no fever is necessary.

Kelly also said the department of labor has successfully completed expansion of benefits from 16-26 weeks. This will apply automatically and people don’t need to do anything different. This will also apply retroactively for everyone who applied for unemployment since January.
