Gov. Kelly holds weekly coronavirus update


TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Governor Laura Kelly is holding her weekly coronavirus update at the statehouse Monday.

At the time of the news conference, the Reno County Health Department reported 56,893 positive cases. That number includes 637 deaths and approximately 44,535 recoveries.

Kelly said the Kansas Department of Health and Environment is beginning phase one of its Unified Covid-19 Testing Strategy. Once complete, it will include both public and private testing across the state. Kelly said she’ll provide more details in the coming weeks.
