Jackson County reports first coronavirus case


JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (KSNT) – A resident of Jackson County tested positive for COVID-19, according to the NEK Multi-County Health Departments.

This is the first positive case in Jackson County. In a release Thursday morning, NEK said that the Kansas Department of Health and Environment notified them Wednesday evening and the individual is now in isolation.

Officials are working to identify contacts, according to the release.
