Kansas Health Secretary gives update on active coronavirus outbreaks in the state


TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Kansas Department of Health and Environment Secretary Dr. Lee Norman held a coronavirus update Wednesday, discussing the number of active outbreaks in the state and more.

At the time of the news conference 17,147 positive cases of coronavirus were reported across the state. That includes approximately 10,570 recoveries and 288 deaths.

Dr. Norman talked about the active coronavirus outbreaks in the state.

According to the infographic provided above, there are a total of 120 outbreaks in the state. Thirty-six of those are from private businesses and 23 from public gatherings.

Dr. Norman said there is not a shortage of testing supplies in Kansas.
