Shawnee County health leader suggests canceling Spirit of Kansas fireworks show

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Shawnee County’s health officer has suggested leaders cancel the Spirit of Kansas fireworks show scheduled for July 4.

County commissioners are meeting today to discuss coronavirus policy, including the governor’s new face mask guidelines and upcoming 4th of July events.

County officials are still considering recommendations at this time. Count on KSNT News to update this story as more information becomes available.
