Cloud cover greatly increases over northeast Kansas for our Sunday. Despite this, we maintain a nice southerly breeze around 15 mph, with gusts upwards of 20 mph, so we still warm back up into the 50s this afternoon for some continued comfortable conditions.
This evening, a fast moving system clips through the area. This brings a chance for a few showers later tonight and into the early morning Monday. Thanks to continued cloud cover overnight, lows stay on the mild side near 40. The brunt of the system stays well too our east, and sunshine returns throughout the day Monday helping us jump back near 60 for highs. Tuesday, breezy conditions come back in, but the sunshine remains with temperatures dipping back into the 50s.
Midweek sees the return of the 40s in northeast Kansas, but it’s not much of a temperature hit. We look to close out the work week in the mid to upper 40s, with a few more clouds on Thursday and Friday as a system passes to our south, bringing rain into Oklahoma. Moisture does not look like it will be able to return to northeast Kansas. By Saturday, cloud cover once again is on the decrease across the area with highs in the mid 40s.
