Additional rounds of rain through early Saturday

Additional showers are expected this evening into the overnight hours, with even the chance of some isolated rumbles of thunder at times. Otherwise, it’s cloudy as temperatures bottom out in the 40s and lower 50s.

Pack the rain gear as you head out the door Friday morning as we’re still tracking scattered showers. Thunderstorms will become a possibility once again late in the morning into the afternoon, with a low threat of any severe weather. Other than the rain, Friday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the 40s.

Rain chances spill over into Friday night before finally tapering off the first half of Saturday. However, as this system begins to depart, it will filter in some cooler temperatures. Low temperatures Saturday morning will be back down into the 30s. The northern half of the region could get as chilly as the low to mid 30s, which would be cold enough for areas of a wintry mix and some wet snowflakes to mix in at times for Saturday morning. As Saturday progresses though, any form of precipitation wraps up as temperatures max out in the 40s.

Plenty of sunshine finally returns for Sunday, but it will still be a bit cooler with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

The sunshine spills over into Monday and Tuesday as temperatures top out in the 50s and 60s, before rain chances return starting on Wednesday.
